Close tolerance narrow-gap bevels on the pipe ends are critical for mechanized welding. CRC-Evans Pipe Facing Machines deliver those tight tolerances. They machine the pipe ends using carbide insert, typically in one to five minutes. Heavy wall models are also available, allowing you to work with wall thicknesses up to 80 mm.
Our pipe facing machines are powered by CRC-Evans HPUs. They give you the flexibility of diesel power for land operations and electric motors for laybarge and spool-based. They can be tractor-mounted or stationary to fit the application.
The CRC-Evans Automatic Welding Counterbore PFM was specifically designed to make long internal Counterbores back bevel transitions – up to 5 inches Counterbore length. The faceplate travels inside the pipe to make this possible. In addition to typical bevels, the machine is capable of API, Modified J and others.
