Our plants can be designed to utilize either the wrap-on or impingement methods - as well as both methods in tandem - for adding a precise aggregate mix to pipe joints. Plant components and production methods are determined according to your desired productivity levels, pipe sizes and weight requirements. The production line consists of an automatic batching plant that includes material hoppers, weight bins and conveyor, a concrete mixer with conveyor, and a concrete applicator. We can also provide the pipe loaders and rotating support carriages for a one-source production line end-to-end.
The automatic batching plant dispenses cement and up to two aggregates to the mixer in the precise quantities required for the specified concrete mix. The mixed concrete is then transferred to the applicator, which shapes the wet concrete for constant and consistent delivery to the high-speed applicator head. As the pipe is rotated and tranversed in front of the applicator, the concrete is introduced to the pipe surface in a uniform coat. The production line also easily accommodates the installation of anode rings and the use of reinforcing wire mesh. All of these systems perform in perfect concert to make sure the end product meets the specs you and your customers have set.

CRC-Evans concrete coating plants provide system-wide computer monitoring and control. Every piece of equipment is electronically linked and controlled from one computer monitor. When a new project is started with different specs, you simply enter the new information and every system automatically adjusts itself down the line.
Automation streamlines every facet of monitoring and control. Instead of using a measuring stick and stopwatch to manually record pipe travel, computer control screens constantly display travel speed, as well as every other production parameter, with absolute accuracy in real time. Plus all information is recorded and backed automatically, down to the individual pipe-joint level. You get digital quality control and the hard data to prove your product's excellence, joint by joint. And, because the system is electronic, there are fewer components and pieces of equipment.

Every CRC-Evans plant comes with the option to add a full complement of advanced laboratory equipment to be set up onsite, so you can scientifically verify quality at all stages of production. This equipment will allow you to check concrete specs before application. Plus you can test for proper weight, coating strength and material densities throughout the coating process all the way through to the finished product.
